DVP - Domain Specialist - TDS Unit - Bank - CA

Our Client, a Leading Private Bank in looking out for a Domain Specialist - DVP for its TDS Unit for ensuring the smooth functioning of the Unit to be based at Mumbai.

The ideal candidate should be a CA with 10 to 15 years overall experience and strong expertise in TDS function and domain, in a Large Bank, preferably Indian Banks.

Responsibilities:

- Ensuring the smooth functioning of the Unit.

- Ensuring TAT processing and ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines.

- Ensuring timely processing for TDS/TCS remittances, 206AB regulations , PAN Dedupe process , TDS certificates dispatch, NPS processing ,

- Monitoring PIS and Pension payouts

- Reviewing of Audit report . Publishing the same to Seniors.

- Manage resolution of customer complaints within defined TAT.

- Manage overall compliance of TDS unit , Conduct meetings with stake holders, tax team and regulatory authority.

- Manage TCS payment, filing of return and default demand correction.

- Filing of SFT and Form 61 reports to ITD

- Manage Bank's Audit team by providing timely data and responses and to ensure that there is no adverse Audit observations.

- To manage and take new project and automation of processes or activities with timely review.

- Monitor and timely closure of demand notices as received from Income Tax department.

- Tracking the productivity of the Unit.

- Counselling the staff on reduction of errors and thus improving the the quality of work.

- Regular reviews of process and activities to further smoothen the process and enhance quality of work.

- Reviewing responses being send to Audit / Statutory / Regulatory queries received with regards to TDS.

- Ensuring a clean Audit

- Regular meeting with IT Team & various stakeholders to strengthen the process and implementation of new enhancements.

- Provide necessary training and feedback to the concerned Teams whenever required.

- System Issues to be taken up with concerned Technology Team to ensure smooth functioning of the system.

- Consistently delivering value added services to our Internal Customers.

- Ensuring fullest support to the Sourcing channel while maintaining all Controls , regulatory requirement.

- Carry out any other additional activity as & when required as per the Organization's requirement and spike in volumes.
