The express and Logistics Industry in India is going through a rapid change, and to adapt to the changes and further strengthen its position as the most preferred courier service, DTDC is going through a transformation that will allow it to become even better, smarter, and faster. The role is responsible for managing sales in the South Zone. The key accountabilities include business development, new market penetration and increase in market share. The role holder is responsible for adding new clients, retention and revenue increase from existing clients and managing outstanding credit collections in the zone. Role holders should be able to strategically guide a team of Regional Sales Managers and periodically review their sales performance. Responsibilities : FINANCIAL : - Responsible for achieving sales target of the zones through direct party sales, branches &amp; channel partners - Monitor and track the collection of credit in the zone and make sure the collections are as per the expected timelines - Ensuring the monthly credit collection is more than the monthly sales revenue - Preparation of sales budget in consultation with Regional / Zonal head &amp; its achievement OPERATIONAL : - Ensuring achievement of targeted revenue in all LOBs and identify risk mitigation plans to make sure the overall performance of the zone is as per plan - Business development to add new clients and customers in the existing markets to DTDC - Identify new untapped markets and prepare a strategic plan to penetrate the market with DTDC services and offerings - Retain existing customers and key clients and attempt to increase the business revenue from the retained clients - Monitor LOB wise month on monthly growth and provide guidance to Regional Sales Managers to achieve the desired growth - Manage yield of each product and make sure product balance of DTDC offerings is ideal in the zone - Visit various Regional Offices in the zone on a periodic basis and engage with key clients to identify and resolve any issues being faced by them - Collaborate with CRM, Sales, Commercial, Billing and Operations teams to ensure seamless implementation of business activities - Solve the pending and critical issues to solve the billing-related problem and realize the outstanding revenue in the zone - Analyze and study sales data to identify problem areas and develop areas of improvement for timely attention to detail. PEOPLE : - Review the sales performance of Regional Managers in the zone and provide strategic guidance to the team - Groom and guide RSM's to ensure revenue targets are met and KPIs are achieved - Identify training needs for the team and recommend the training to the management - Oversee facilitation of a conducive work environment that ensures high employee engagement levels in the team - Provide leadership guidance to the employees in the zone across all LOBs DESIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE : QUALIFICATION : - Post Graduation - Sales &amp; Marketing with 6 -12years of experience in a similar role in a fast-paced growth organization - 5+ years of experience in a Logistics industry or related field KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES : - Ability to strategically understand market growth, economic scenarios and thereby prioritizing organizational goals - Knowledge of market dynamics in courier, transportation and logistics industry - Ability to understand customer requirements - Knowledge in data analysis, to understand the performance of various regions in the zone - Stakeholder management, in order to manage external customers and internal support teams - Ability to inspire confidence and create trust in the team
