Job Description for Project Manager (Corporate IT) : - Express and Logistics Industry in India is going through a rapid change, and to adapt to the changes and further strengthen its position as the most preferred courier service, DTDC is going through a transformation that will allow it to become even better, smarter, and faster. In our Industry, the transformation is largely composed of technological advancement, and therefore, we need smart, solution-oriented, and hardworking Project Managers to help us reach our goals. - The Project Manager (Corporate IT) has the overall responsibility for planning and execution of IT projects. PM is responsible for designing, planning, and directing the project, all together under the provisions of IT and IS based solutions that support business processes. - A Project Manager reports to the Vice President (Technology) and coordinates with the Portfolio Managers and Project Managers from Business Management division. Therefore, Project Managers work on multi-stakeholder projects that have very high visibility and direct crucial impact on business. - While a PM is not expected to be an expert at coding and related skills, he must have sufficient knowledge to conduct system study, recommend design/development and process flow modification (end to end process) for some of our applications such as ERP, Web-based Courier Apps, Transport Management System, and sales force automation. Each IT project, like any project, has different phases and a PM supports the project in the following manner and capacity: 1. Planning : - Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support overall business goals - Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents - Estimate the resources, participants, and additional staff/consultants needed - Draft and submit budget proposals, and subsequent budget changes whenever necessary - Define project success criteria and disseminate to involved parties throughout project life cycle 2. Execution : - Delegate project tasks and responsibilities to appropriate project personnel - Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path - Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders - Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team - Manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans - Report progress and take approvals from the governance team - Identify risks and escalate to senior management with appropriate mitigation plans - Coach, mentor and motivate project team members and contractors 3. Delivery : - Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements, and presentations. - Determine the frequency and content of status reports - Analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas. - Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report Skills required : - Graduate from a Tier 1 engineering college. MBA not required, but desirable. - Minimum 3 years of experience with relevant business and team leadership skills - Preference to project management skill-sets &amp; tool-kits like Prince, PMP, MS Project - Results/action-orientation; project management skills - Strong personal code of ethics, integrity, diversity, and trust - Able to successfully navigate within varying degrees of ambiguity in a fast-paced environment - Highly-developed communications skills (written/verbal) and interpersonal savvy Compensation : CTC will be in the range of 10-16 Lakhs per annum based on the suitability of the candidate Location : Bangalore
