Chief Technology Officer - Fintech / BFSI


POSITION: CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER


Key Deliverables of the Role:

- You will be the DRU Fintech Lender Gateway Digital Team Lead and Lead the team members

- To create the new Lending platform for digitally onboarding DRU Fintech's Partner Lenders into DRU Fintech end to end flow of gold loan disbursal. Contribute to overall end to end design of this new system to handle Lender related complexities and ability to support all types of integrations of Lenders.

- Contribute to horizontal org level projects like Unit test framework, LMS product evaluation, System health, Business resiliency.

- Lead the team of engineers for new Growth system development in DRU Fintech. Design the system end to end, contribute to end user requirement analysis, and scale the system from initial one small city to all the cities. CRM- platforms Salesforce / Zoho, ERP - Microsoft Dynamics, new Lead and Loan Application management services.

- Create Inventory Management System from scratch which include services like Central Inventory management service, DRU Fintech Inventory Audit service and work with Android and other OS team for API integration in client.

You will spend time on the following:

- Lead the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships, and external relationships

- Represent the technological agenda in staff meetings and when making hiring decisions

- Identify, compare, select, and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs

- Develop, track, and control the development of annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing and operations

- Manage and optimize digital infrastructure assets to satisfy internal financial targets

- Create overall technology standards and practices and ensure adherence

- Consolidate our technology platforms and create plans for each.

- Track, analyze and monitor technology performance metrics.

- Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture

- Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in the technology landscape

- Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation, and creativity

- Work closely with Marketing, Business Development and Operations to define and deliver new products and enhancements

- As CTO, it will be his/her responsibility to architect and oversee the building of the entire technology platform for all aspects of the loan process, viz., application, automated decisioning, 3rd party financial data-source integration, loan lifecycle management, data-driven learning algorithms, among others.

- Ability to Drive business transformation across Digital Banking Business, Core Platform and Infrastructure encompassing all business functions.

- Ability to Develop Digital Strategy and Define IT Policies to improve maturity through Human- Physical, Digital SOPs.

- Ability to Define Roadmap and Architecture for enabling seamless digital experience for end customers and various business functions by adopting right-use technology frameworks and developing a strong partner network.

- Ability to Roll out of core lending stack covering essential functions of lead management, customer acquisition, loan origination, loan management & collection and peripheral applications like reconciliation system, financial accounting, and campaign management.

- Ability to Determine right fit for business growth and core technology stack coherence.

- Ability to Spearhead Alliances and develop efficient partner network with Fintech's, Data Aggregators, Marketplaces, API Solution providers and business partners to fuel business growth.

- Ability to Streamline Product Engineering and Architect digital solutions for Gold Loan Aggregation.

- Ability to Architect, Design & Develop Digital Banking stack encompassing BOTS, Payment Solutions (UPI, IMPS) solutions, Mobile Banking, Agent Banking, Omnichannel banking, Mobile Wallets, Collection App and Contactless Payments.

- Ability to Monitor KPIs & prepare IT Budgets to assess technological performance.

Strategy & Planning:

- In partnership with the company's founder, identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company's services as a fintech business, including identification of competitive services, opportunities for innovation, and assessment of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles to the business success.

- Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms (including web application frameworks and the deployment stack) for delivering the company's services.

- Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, and deployment of all web-based services.

- Participate as a member of the senior management team in establishing governance processes of direction and control to ensure that objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately, and the organization's resources are used responsibly, particularly in the areas of software development, office networks and computers, and telecommunications.

- Collaborate with the appropriate departments to assess and recommend technologies that support company organizational needs.

- Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide information security plan that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company's data and servers.

- Collaborate with the founder and potential customers to develop use cases (or user stories) and specifications that describe the implementation of the company's services as a web application.

- Collaborate with a User Experience Designer and potential customers to prepare wireframes or mockups of a prototype of the company's web application.

- Select or define the company's software development methodology.

- Establish a specification conformance and testing regimen based on user stories and the User Experience design.

- Review current best practices for the selected web framework and establish the initial architecture for the application.

- Select and manage company staff or outsourced vendors who will implement the application.

- Establish and supervise the software development process, setting short-term objectives and assessing progress as defined by the selected software development methodology.

- Establish and supervise a quality assurance process, including integration and system testing.

- Select, deploy, and monitor performance profiling tools and procedures.

- Establish an application deployment process and supervise deployment to staging and production servers.

- Monitor application performance and review any application failures in staging or production.

- As a member of the senior management team, establish a customer service and support process, with responsibility for web-based services that implement the support function. Establish a process to integrate customer service and support with the software engineering process to support resolution of customer issues and improve application usability.

Operational Management:

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices by attending relevant conferences and reading widely (including reading your peers- blogs!)

- Ensure that technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization.

- Share knowledge, mentor, and educate the organization's investors, management, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders regarding the company's technological vision, opportunities, and challenges.

- Supervise recruitment, training, retention, and organization of all development staff related to the technology department.

Position Requirement:

- B.E. (Electronics Engineering) or B.E. Information Technology from IITs / Premier Institutions

Technologies & Methodologies:

- Technologies: Customer Apps, Enterprise Solutions, BOTS, RPA, AI/ML, UI/UX, Websites, Mobility, Omnichannel, Microservices, Portals, Cloud, BI, NoSQL, Big Data, Analytics, AWS, AZURE

- Methodologies: DevOps, Iterative, Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, Hybrid models

Skill-Set:

- High Level Design, Low Level Design, Data Structure, Algorithms, Networking, Multithreaded Programming and REST APIs.

Knowledge & Experience: Minimum 12 to 16 years

- Domain knowledge in Banking & Financial Services, SME Lending, Education, eGovernment, Telecom, Networking, Ecommerce, Gen. IT Services

- Demonstrated ability to envision web-based services that meet consumer needs or solve business problems.

- Years of experience managing web application development.

- Hands-on experience coding in more than one currently popular web application framework.

- Familiar with more than one software development methodology.

- Ability to discern user requirements and develop specifications.

- Has Experience with Product Development and building the architecture of the product.

- Has worked in a financial institution or a fintech company related to analyzing loans or credit ratings.
