We are looking for a Business Development Manager who will prospect for new brands by networking, cold calling, participating in industry forums and through other means of generating interest from potential clients. Strategic planning is a key part of this job as it is the business development manager's responsibility to develop the right pipeline of new businesses and develop the right value proposition for prospects. This requires developing a thorough knowledge of the categories we operate in, the current value chain, consumer needs and Dropshop's value offering as compared to our competitor's solutions and services.


As Business Development Manager, you will :

- Independently drive business growth by identifying new suppliers across geographies

- Map, prioritize and pursue business opportunities with new brand prospects

- Develop and drive execution of business development plan aligned across the organization

- Cross functional collaboration across business, product and other teams

- Market Intelligence: Providing inputs to Sales and Marketing through market and consumer insights

- Target driven: a self starter hunter by DNA with strong focus on target achievement

- Negotiation skills: agility to structure and use a variety of styles to persuade and negotiate successfully

- Value based sales approach with sound techno-commercial acumen

- Strong communication and presentation skills with MS office proficiency and very good command on English language

- Knowledge of FMCG industry trends with exposure to / knowledge of retail sector and consumer product

- Excellent business judgment and strong analytical and problem solving skills to identify issues and present creative, practical solutions

- Skilled in collaboration across boundaries and broadly, ability to bring differing ideas into the forefront

- Should be able to work in a process driven approach and willingness to adhere to it


- MBA from a premier B-school.

- Post Graduation in Business Administration, in Marketing/Sales or Dairy Technology or Food Technology/Engineering from reputed institutes

- Minimum 4 years of Account Management/ Business Development experience in B2B Sales Marketing.

- Successful track record of generating new business (suspect to prospect)

- Candidates should be open to relocate within India in future based on company requirements.

- Strong leadership, entrepreneurial and execution skills

- Good interpersonal and a team player

- Be comfortable in working in a flat matrixed organization

- Should possess a collaborative mindset to be able to work garner support from a cross functional cross border team

- Capacity to deal with conflicting priorities

- Discipline to deliver high quality work on schedule
