Dropshop Network - Head - Finance

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join us to build and lead our finance and accounting team. The role will involve working closely with the founders and covers the entire gamut of end to end finance and accounting management including bookkeeping, financial planning and reporting.

Core KRAs :

- End to end accounting and financial planning for a fast-paced, hyper growth start-up

- Build and lead the accounting team including bookkeeping

- Build, implement and manage various financial controls and processes across all business areas, designed for scale

- Preparing and analysing monthly and quarterly business and financial MIS for internal and external consumption

- Manage all statutory and financial compliance

- Manage company's banking relationships

- Examine financial and legal documents to verify accuracy and adherence to financial regulations and acceptable financial principles.

- Periodically review the organization's financial reports and identify opportunities for growth and cost optimisation. Analyze data and advise top management on how to maximise resource utilisation.

- Provide leadership and coordination in business planning, financial performance, accounting and budgeting efforts.

- Work with different teams to streamline costs, expenses, and forecasting

- Work with the founders to prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial plans for the company with target tracking metrics by department and highlight causes of deviation and corrective measures as appropriate

- Work with company's auditors to prepare and sign-off on financial statements periodically

- Above all, build for scale

Required Experience, Competencies and Skills :

- CA/MBA with 4-8 years of experience in a fast paced and high growth Retail/Omni Channel Business/e-commerce/Manufacturing and/or a fast paced FMCG or Series A, B or C startup.

- Strong experience in Business Finance, FP&A, and Tally

- Strong understanding of Indian GAAP including direct and indirect taxes and compliance

- Affinity for tech tools and automation - we prefer Airtable over Excel! Data-driven

- Strong people management, collaboration and decision making skills

- Strong exposure of driving Opex and Capex budgeting and Financial Controls
