Senior Director, Business Development | 8-12 years | Gurugram

Droom is seeking a seasoned professional for the role of Senior Director, Business Development. The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in building the supply side of a marketplace, specifically in the acquisition, onboarding, growth, and enabling adoption of services for third-party sellers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Marketplace Growth:

- Drive the growth of Droom's marketplace by strategizing and executing initiatives to acquire and onboard third-party sellers.

- Develop and implement business development strategies to expand the supply side and ensure a diverse and robust seller ecosystem.

- Seller Acquisition:

- Lead the acquisition efforts, identifying and targeting potential sellers to join the Droom platform.

- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of seller prospects through proactive outreach and relationship-building.

- Onboarding and Adoption:

- Oversee the onboarding process for new sellers, ensuring a smooth and efficient integration into the Droom platform.

- Implement strategies to enhance seller adoption of Droom's services, features, and tools.

- Seller Relationship Management:

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing sellers, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet the evolving requirements of sellers.

- Seller Services Enablement:

- Work closely with internal teams to develop and enhance services that cater to the needs of sellers on the Droom platform.

- Implement initiatives to educate and enable sellers to make the most of Droom's offerings.

- Performance Metrics:

- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to seller acquisition, onboarding, and service adoption.

- Provide regular reports and insights to the leadership team on the performance of the supply side of the marketplace.

Qualifications:

- 8-12 years of progressive experience in business development, with a focus on building the supply side of marketplaces.

- Proven track record of successfully acquiring, onboarding, and growing third-party sellers in a dynamic and competitive environment.

Skills:

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

- In-depth understanding of e-commerce and marketplace dynamics.
