Role: Oncology Sales Manager

Reporting To: Country Manager, Vietnam

Team Size: 9

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Educational Qualifications: An academic background in pharmaceuticals/medicine. An MBA is desirable.

Experience Required: Minimum 6 years of sales experience in pharmaceuticals industry.

It will be useful to have:

- Strong Oncology sales management experience

- Prior exposure in international markets (desirable but not essential)

- Strong key account management skills and previous experience of selling to hospitals

- Understanding of Oncology marketing initiatives

Technical Requirements: Understanding of the pharmaceutical markets, ability to connect with influencers and decision makers and key account management skills. Aptitude for and interest in learning new languages.

Context

Our Vietnam business has been growing at a rapid pace. We have crossed USD 2.8 Mn in top line in FY13, with plans to reach more than USD 3.2 Mn in FY14 and crossing USD 5 Mn by FY17. The Oncology business segment is expected to contribute close to 75% of our business in Vietnam.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in evaluation of products that can be introduced in Vietnam market

- Identify, evaluate and recommend product opportunities in specific sectors

- Assess market conditions & trends and recommend marketing activities

- Achieve portfolio sales targets, enhancement in ranking and market share

- Represent organization to stakeholders - major customers, government & regulatory agencies

- Review, guide and motivate team to achieve business goals

Operating Network:

- Internal - Marketing, HR, Finance, Purchase, IT, RA

- External - Interface with key opinion leaders, heads of country medical authorities

Key Personal Attributes

- Self starter, displays initiative with an entrepreneurial outlook

- Good people management and development skills

- Able to enthuse team to achieve stretch targets

- Cross cultural sensitivity and flexible food habits (willingness to adapt to South East Asian/Vietnamese cuisine)
