Purpose: To play an active role in ensuring proper control, compliance and accounting within corporate & statutory guidelines for Biologics Business. The incumbent should ensure periodic book closure, accuracy / completeness of Trial balance, trend analysis, co-ordinate with auditors, continuous improvement in control environment, review and monitoring of Opex and R&D expense and in dept analysis of Business level Balance sheet.  Roles & Responsibilities:  The incumbent will be responsible for the following activities:  Monthly/Quarterly Book closure :  - Opex and R&D expenses provision  - Trend analysis, Support in MIS preparation  - Trial Balance review, pass necessary entries  - Balance Sheet & Schedule preparation  - Support Statutory / Internal Auditors, handle queries  Maintain/Improve Control Environment :  - Maintain SOX process flow charts and RCMs  - Ensure process adherence and SOX compliance  - Preparation for Company level Controller Forum  - Review and maintenance of SOPs  R&D expense monitoring :  - Tracking and monitoring of clinical trial expenses trial wise against agreed milestones and deliverables.  - Detailed Analysis of over/under spent during a period  - Ensuring payments to CROs as per agreed milestones and deliverables  - Monthly R&D MIS with detailed analysis  - Maintaining of MS Actual vs Budget and reporting  Capex Management :  - Review of Contracts / Agreement of Operation teams  Academic Background and Key Experience Requirements:  - ACA with around 2-4 years of experience in month closure activities & controlling   - Good accounting acumen  - Familiarity with SAP environment  - A good understanding of Accounting Standards   - Exposure in Manufacturing sector
