Job Title : Tax Manager

Work Experience : 4/5+ years

Location : Gurgaon

Scope :

- To provide tax support to Country level Finance & Service Centre.

- To record, maintain, verify, and execute compliance with a medium level of complexity according to process documentation.

Roles and Responsibilities :

The role of a Group Tax Manager is to oversee the tax affairs of a company or group of companies. Some of the key responsibilities of a Group Tax Manager include :

- Tax Compliance: Ensuring that the Group complies with all relevant tax laws and regulations, including preparing and filing tax returns and ensuring that all taxes are paid on time.

- Tax Planning: Developing and implementing tax planning strategies to minimize the Group tax liabilities and maximize its tax savings.

- Tax Reporting: Preparing accurate and timely tax reports for management and external stakeholders, such as investors, analysts, and regulators.

- Risk Management: Identifying and managing tax risks, such as changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, and ensuring that the Group tax practices are in compliance with the relevant rules and regulations.

- Transfer Pricing: Ensuring that the Group transfer pricing policies and practices are in line with the relevant tax laws and regulations.

- Tax Audit Support: Providing support during tax audits and investigations by tax authorities.

- Tax Strategy Development: Developing and implementing tax strategies that support the overall business objectives of the Group.

- Team Management: Managing a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are performing their roles effectively and efficiently.

- Overall, the Group Tax Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Group's tax affairs are managed in a responsible and efficient manner, and that the Group is compliant with all relevant tax laws and regulations.

Qualification And Skillset :

- Chartered Accountant or a Graduate with a bachelor's degree

- IFRS Qualification/Experience preferred.

- 4/5+ years of experience

- Computer literacy, ability to use the office suite.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills

- Knowledge of Accounting (Journal entries, Reconciliations, etc.)

Desired Experience :

- Candidate should have a deep knowledge and understanding of tax principles, and application thereof in practical situations.

- Hands-on with Tax laws, tax methodologies, and execution.

- Must be hands-on MS excel. Knowledge of automation tools is an advantage.
