About the role:

Dobin is looking for a Lead, Data Engineering to build next generation intelligent data platform solutions. You will work closely with Dobin's CPO/CTO to define requirements and take the lead on operational and technical projects. In this role, you should be able to work independently with little supervision and manage a small team of other Data scientist/Data engineers. You should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills. We are looking for someone with a strong background in data engineering or machine learning engineering. You need to be comfortable in dealing with lots of moving pieces and learning/developing new approaches.

This role is based in India.

Key responsibilities:

- Develop, design and architect the data lake, dashboarding and Machine learning pipeline

- Be involved in development of data product solutions that will involve mix of Deep learning, NLP, Graph learning based ML Models

- Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code

- Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting

- Perform validation and verification testing

- Collaborate with other team members and vendors to fix and improve products

- Document development phases and monitor systems

Primary Skill Required

- 5+ years of proven experience in data engineering/ML engineering

- Experience of working with data-intensive projects, with a variety of technology stacks

- including different programming languages (Java, Python, Scala)

- Experience in building infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources to support other teams to run pipelines/jobs/reports etc.

- Experience in Open-source stack

- Experiences of working with RDBMS databases, NoSQL Databases

- Knowledge of enterprise data lakes, data analytics, reporting, in-memory data handling, etc.

- Understanding of diverse set of databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, Redshift, Postgres, etc.

- Understanding of Cloud Platform: AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.

- Have core computer science academic background

Optional Skill Required

- Past experience of setting up MLOps pipeline will be a plus

- Understanding of Big Data technologies and Machine learning/Deep learning

- Knowledge of Data Science in Python (Pandas, Numpy, TensorFlow, etc.) is plus

- Experience in BFSI domain is a plus
