Looking For Deputy Manager/Manager With Max Life insurance In Gurgaon.

Position: Deputy Manager/Manager

Department - Distribution

Function - Distribution Technology

Reporting to - VP – Business Planning

Location - Home Office, Gurgaon

JOB SUMMARY

- The job holder will be primarily responsible for supporting the Technology needs of Distribution Channels by:

1. Engaging with Distribution Sales Promotion, Distribution Standards, Distribution Training and Planning & Analysis, as required

2. Co-ordination with various stakeholders across Functions like Finance, Legal, BPMA and Ops for timely fulfillment

3. Regular Project tracking and update

4. Regular Performance reporting with suggested areas of improvement for the program

5. Design and execute new initiatives for improving connect with Agents and Distribution Managers

Indicative Time Allotment & Key Responsibilities

- Development of New Functionalities in Core systems like My Agent, GOLDen and Distribution Portal, etc.-40%

- Business Requirement (BAU) – Any New Business Functionality Development. E.g.: GO Association, Agent Loyalty Program 2012 etc.

- Compliance Requirement, if any – Distribution related compliance requirement.

Key Activities:

- Business Requirement Document (BRD) to be raised to IT for Functional Specifications Document (FSD) preparation and system development for this new feature.

- Validate FSD provided by IT to confirm it meets the actual business requirement.

- FSD sign-off for further development (including test cases).

- UAT of new functionality to check the correct output in report, my Agent front end, Portal / Dashboard etc.

- Sign-off for UAT and sanity testing if any.

- Post Promotion of new Functional over Production region inform to user about the new functionality.

- Validation of new functionality for few days of its core working output.

Production/System Defect - 20%

- Query to be raised to IT on behalf of the user; maintain defect tracker for tracking the status of all defects.

- Root Cause Analysis of the Defect and check for complete impacted list

- Seek for possible Data fix of the impacted list

- If defect occurs due to system functionality, raise Change Request /Statement of Work

- Follow-up with testing activities.

- Confirmation to user before closing the defect.

Report Requirement for Distribution-20%

- New Report request

- Modification, enhancement and maintenance of integrity of existing Reports

Project Tracking and update-10%

- Weekly MIS reconciliation with IT for open production defect /CR/Data fix.

- Evaluate gaps and draw a process to rectify them

Service Adhoc Data Requirements from Distribution-10%

- Gather in relevant request format and forward to IT.

- Post receiving data from IT check accuracy.

- Share Data with user.

Measures of Success:-

- Consistency & Timely delivery of the functionalities as per agreed schedule

- Defect free functionalities, Future Scalability and Flexibility of the functionalities

- Continuous review of the distribution requirements and work on automation requirement that can bring efficiency and effectiveness

- Team Engagement, retention

- Coordination and relationship within and outside the function

- Supervisor Feedback.

Key stakeholders:-

- Chief Distribution Officer, Head of Agency

- Distribution Support - Sales Promotion, Distribution Standards, Distribution Training and Planning & Analysis

- Finance, Legal, BPMA and Operations

ELIGIBILITY

1. 3 - 4 yrs of relevant experience in Software Development Lifecycle beginning with gathering Business Requirement, preparing Functional Specifications Document, UAT of new functionality and Post Promotion of new Functional over Production region.

2. MCA or equivalent/ Post Graduate

3. Experience in project management with strong stand-up presentation skills

4. Formal communication capabilities, Background in Journalism desirable

5. Good team handling capabilities

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY:

1. Candidates who have a performance rating of G2M2 & have completed 12 months in the current role

2. Candidates who have a performance rating of G3M3 & have completed 18 months in the current role

FOR LATERAL MOVEMENT, candidate should have completed at least 12 months in the current role & have a minimum performance rating of G3M3

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

- Creative, Result oriented, high energy, ability to multi-task and diligence

- High levels of ownership for the projects undertaken

- Excellent communication skills (oral & written)

- Good analytical skills coupled with high emotional intelligence quotient

- Strong Intersection Management & relationship building capability, ability to work in cross-functional and multi-layered teams.
