DM/Manager/Sr Manager - Financial Risk Management

Role : Deputy Manager/ Manager/ Sr. Manager – Financial Risk Management (FRM)

Location : Bahrain

Job Description:

- Use your expertise, knowledge and experience to set up the FRM practice and deliver and promote the core Financial Risk Management propositions.

- Work closely with Partners and Directors to market and deliver engagements by:

- Leading business development initiatives including bid, proposal and contract/commercial negotiation

- Building deep and long lasting client relationships to enhance the reputation of “OUR CLIENT” as advisor of choice and generate ongoing revenues

- Managing a team of “OUR CLIENT” professionals on client engagements and providing leadership and shape delivery approach

- Coaching team members to ensure excellent client delivery whilst also enabling their career development

- Acting as a subject matter expert in advising clients to maximise benefits while reducing risks

Desired Skills:

- Prior experience in managing teams , with clear leadership in one of the following services, viz., credit risk management, market/treasury risk management, operations risk management, insurance risks regulatory risks and commodity risks

- Thorough understanding of the treasury / credit products

- Knowledge of Basel II/Base III Accord requirements and implementation experience.

- Understanding of Spot and Derivative market operations for equities, interest rate, commodities and foreign exchange products including risk management (hedging strategies) and valuation aspects of the same

- Understanding of Financial Modelling and Econometrics

- Ability to take an integrated approach to Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)

Proficiency in one of the followings:

- Experience in treasury middle office/front office preferably in a bank/corporate treasury– should have understanding of policies, processes, procedures and regulatory reporting requirements and preferably should have played a role in defining them.

- Experience of Credit Policy & processes, Credit Scoring, Credit Risk Modelling, regulatory requirements and preferably should have played a role in defining them.

- Experience in Commodity Risk Management – should have understanding of policies, processes, procedures and regulatory reporting requirements in commodity areas and preferably should have played a role in defining them.

Candidate profile:

- 10 + years of relevant experience in the Financial Risk Management domain in Banks/ Rating Agencies/
Consulting Firms/ Corporate Treasury / Analytical Software Companies

- Financial Risk Management Services – credit, market/treasury, operational, commodity risks experience is a must.

- Experience in off shoring advisory or offshore business management would be an added advantage

- Worked with international clients AND/OR has onshore experience

- Good communication skills, High level of drive and resilience

- Ability to build relationships (internal and external).

- Other relevant certifications including CA, ACA, MBA, CFA would be beneficial but not essential.

- Working knowledge on statistical packages like SPSS, SAS, E–Views etc will be preferred.
