DM - Maintenance - FMCG/Food

Urgent & immediate requirement of Deputy Manager- Maintenance for a professionally managed Tata Group Company for one of their instant tea operation plant at Munnar near Kochi

A brief outline about the job description is given below for better understanding of the role :-

1. Handle day to day maintenance activities of the plant and machinery including Instrumentation & electrical installations.

2. Ensure and strengthen current systems and procedures for preventive and predictive maintenance practices.

3. Responsible for planning & meeting machinery uptime targets of the Instant Tea plant including planning of spares, tools & tackles.

4. Responsible for budgeting for maintenance revenue expenditures.

5. Responsible for identifying and implementing capital proposals in coordination with Operations for continual improvements in plant performance.

6. Ensure that the Repair & Maintenance expenses are within the budgeted limits.

7. Ensure quality of workmanship by facilitating adequate training & motivation of the maintenance crew.

8. Focus on continuous improvement & benchmarking and following best practices like TPM, Kaizen etc.

Education

- Graduate in “Mechanical Engineering” with First Class from an Institute of repute.

- Exposure to ISO/TPM systems & procedures is desirable.

- Knowledge of Food Safety Management System based on HACCP is desirable.

- Knowledge of Tamil and/or Malayalam is essential.

Experience - 8 to 12 years of core maintenance experience in a Process/ Food Industry.

Age - Below 40 years

- Basic Computer Knowledge

Salary would be attractive and not a constraint for the right candidate.

Candidates with working experience in a FMCG and food industry will be preferred.
