Life Actuarial - Deputy Manager
Reporting to: AVP, Actuarial
Team Handling: 4-5 people
Geographies: Work for Europe, Emerging Countries (Asian), North America
Key Accountabilities
- The resource would be a key member of the Actuarial Services team and would work in close collaboration with teams in entities
- Play a critical role in setting up an Life Actuarial support platform (adopting tools such as Prophet/Moses etc.) servicing various Group entities
- Seed new engagements – independently analyze project requirements to own and deliver pilot projects / initiatives with very high quality to establish support credibility with the Group entities
- Undertake developmental research and propose new support offerings linked to market developments (e.g. Solvency II related support)
- To work and deliver on the experience investigation work for business. The role will focus on reviewing the surrenders, paid up and mortality experience of all the life & pensions products on a timely basis and to be able to recommend the assumptions based on this experience which may be useful to make various business decisions
- To manage the migration phase of quality assurance and testing process within actuarial framework for the business in different geographies. Also accountable for day to day operations. Should also be in a position to provide technical guidance to the team and be able to resolve any issues that arise so that deliverables are met.
- Fortify existing Actuarial practice supporting North America, Europe where the company has a presence across Life domains
- Conceptualize, plan and setup an optimum team structure - hire, train, mentor, and coach team members to establish a high performance culture
Candidate Profile: Qualified Associate in Actuarial Science or nearly qualified Associate
- Excellent understanding of Actuarial & Statistical techniques
- Good Knowledge of Actuarial tools (Prophet, Moses)
- Knowledge of product development and valuation will be added advantage
- Awareness of recent industry developments in Life Actuarial domain
- Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects at a time
- Ability to work on an international environment
Compensation: 15 lacs
