One of the leading FMCG Companies is Urgently looking for Divisional Manager - Employee Relations (should have experience in handling multiple plants.)
Job Title : Divisional Manager - Employee Relations
Function : Human Resources
Level : Level 3 / Level 4
Location : Kolkata/Bangalore/Chennai
Reports to : HR Head of the SBU/Division
Purpose of the Job :
- To head the Employee Relations in the SBU/Division, and as a result, strategize, plan, guide and support the respective HR Teams in manufacturing units of the SBU, in maintaining harmonious Employee Relations climate, and in driving critical change management initiatives.
Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities :
- Formulate appropriate ER strategy for the SBU/Division
- Review ER structure, systems, policies and practices in as to their appropriateness to drive SBU goals
- Ensure implementation of ER strategy, structure, systems & policies in - ER Systems (factories, etc.)
- Drive change management initiatives (such as Long Term Settlements, etc.) to drive business goals
- Proactively maintain and manage external interface with HR fora and relevant professional bodies
- Proactively and positively interact with and statutory & government authorities
Monitor, analyze, & improve effectiveness of efforts in ER Systems with respect to :
- Trade union leadership & unionism
- Talent management cycle for non-managerial employees
- Employee communication, engagement & grievance handling systems
- Employee benefits and wage administration systems
- Discipline management & handling of legal cases/disputes
- Statutory compliance and audit systems
- HR Budget & Capital Expenditure Management
Environment management :
- Continuously assess & ensure compliance on impact of applicable legislation, arbitrations and rulings
- Set direction on all statutory and legal matters in the domain of HR
- Review and improve ER cost management for the SBU
- Facilitate adoption and absorption of contemporary HR IT systems
Qualifications & Experience :
- Post-graduate education in HRM/IR/PMIR from a premier institute (XLRI/TISS/SIBM/SCMHRD), with minimum 8 years of prior experience in HR domain in reputed organizations, of which at least 3 years must have been in a factory setup, OR Post-graduate education in HR/IR/PMIR, with minimum 10 years of prior experience in HR domain in reputed organizations, of which at least 5 years must have been in a factory setup
Other Preferences :
- Experience in multi-national FMCG/manufacturing organizations would be preferred
- First-hand experience of dealing with employee unions, executing long term settlements, etc.
- Any papers or content published in books / media will be an advantage
