Your Opportunity

- Drive the transformation to modernize the technology stack for the domain with controlled data duplication based on use case to control cost and storage solutions. architecting & designing, innovating POCs on latest cutting-edge technologies as well as contribute to building, deploying highly scalable and robust cloud based intelligent solutions.

- Implement cutting edge models and algorithms that operate on massive amounts of data

- Help and participate with the teams that leverage and contribute to open-source technologies

- Strategize & work with senior leaders and across engineering Organization to make significant impact on a global scale

Position Responsibilities:

- Strategize long term vision, Architect & Design, contribute to build cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting multi-billion-dollar business.

- Interact with cross functional engineering teams as cloud, platform, analytics etc. across geographies to leverage technical expertise and contribute to the engineering community.

- As Distinguished Engineer you would be working as an Individual Contributor.

- Engage with engineering teams in Bentonville and work with team of architects to evolve the long term architectural vision, make it pure multi-tenant, global and cloud ready.

- Understand business problems and suggest technology solutions

- Drive Proof of Concept (POC) and Proof of Technology (POT) evaluations

- Lead engineering efforts from rapid prototypes to large-scale applications using variety of languages and tools/technology stacks.

- Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with business, product, engineering and management across different geographic locations

- Guide and mentor other architects to foster highly technical and technology excellence culture

Position Requirements:

Your Qualifications:

- Bachelor's/Master's Degree with 20+. of experience in Computer Science or related field

- Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, data stores, operating systems, etc.

- Prior proven experience with Java, Multithreading, Data Structures, Algorithm, Design Patterns and resilient high-performance and scalable applications

- Ability to influence cross functional engineering leaders/architects in a collaborative and productive manner

- Hands on in Architecting and developing large scale Core Java applications

- Experience in Cloud Native systems, Transactional Systems, Multi-Tenancy and five-nines availability

- Good expertise in REST, Messaging (KAFKA, RABBITMQ, etc.), stream processing (SPARK, STORM etc.), NoSQL as well as database Systems (RDBMS, NO SQL Stores like Cassandra, HBase, Mongo, memcache etc.)

- Extremely strong technical background with the capability of being hands-on if required and earn the respect and ability to mentor top individual technical talent.
