Product Marketing Manager
Responsibilities (not exhaustive) :
Some key responsibilities include :
- Owner of the funnel from customer acquisition to driving engagement and usage to loyalty and retention on the product offerings.
- Identifying funnel drops and working on marketing mix and product improvements to address the same.
- Help create and meet benchmarks on conversion funnel / put in place analytics for the same.
- Owner of all GTM of new feature releases to develop customer insight to drive product marketing strategy.
- Owner of product positioning and messaging.
- Work with marketing, product, sales, tech to take the product /feature release to market
- Drive competitive analysis, understanding of tech trends that impact product usage...
- Acquisition , driving inbound traffic to the product through work with the marketing team, managing trial experience and converting inbound traffic to leads.
- Driving both lead journey for enterprise full stack offerings and conceptualizing self serve purchase journey for modular standalone offerings.
- Engagement ; programs to drive DAU's, MAU's, time spent on websites.
- Own engagement analytics and proactively understand user behavior and identify + address reasons for drops in engagement through marketing campaigns and product improvements.
- Retention / Conversion
- Drive programs to convert trial users to paid users / high interest prospects.
Classic product management :
- Drive consumer research and understanding to drive better product usage - ensure continuous feedback to product and UX teams.
- Create product roadmap based on market research.
- Create high level wireframes and work with UX team to translate them to high fidelity designs.
- Work with engineering teams and delivery managers to ship product features in a timely and high-quality manner.
Education / skillset :
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales or business management from a top B school.
- Any formal certification in Marketing management would be an advantage
Experience :
- Proven work experience of 6-8 years in product marketing preferably from SaaS / IT product companies.
- Expertise in CRM and marketing automation tools
- Previous track record of working in a product management / marketing role with a SaaS company.
Abilities & traits :
- Strong communication, storytelling and visual design skills.
- Impeccable communication skills, both written and oral.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
