dirvest.com (short for direct invest) seeks to be the most disruptive online-cum-mobile platform of our times for accessing best-in-class investment advisory at an ultra-low cost. Our vision is to make professional investment advisory available and affordable to everyone - regardless of ticket-size - and we intend to achieve this by using technology. We're building what we believe will arguably be the most advanced algorithmic engine for designing portfolios of curated investment instruments that are customized to suit the age and risk appetite of each individual investor.

ABOUT FOUNDERS

dirvest.com is the brainchild of two seasoned investment hands who were batchmates at IIM Bangalore. Both also happen to be computer science graduates - one from IIT Kanpur and the other from NTU Singapore. Between them, they have significant experience working for marquee names in management consulting and investment banking. Above all both co-founders have been very very passionate about what is now being popularly called "robo-investing", a whole new approach to wealth creation through automated, systematic and rule based investing.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a co-founder to serve as the CTO of dirvest and manage all aspects related to its technology. You will be part of the co-founding team and will be in the driver's seat as we build India's most dynamic and widely used investment platform. Technology is what will define and differentiate dirvest, and to that extent technology will not just be an enabler of the business; it'll be central to dirvest's business model. And you as CTO will not just be delivering on technology; you will very much be in the thick of defining the vision, road map and strategy for dirvest along with your other two co-founders.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

Simply put, we are looking for a kickass developer who can architect and develop full stack web and mobile platforms. You love to code and have what it takes to lead a team of extraordinary coders. You have a bachelors or master's degree in computer science (or related disciplines) from a premier institute (preferably IITs/NITs/BITS). Over time, you will also be raising and leading the entire tech team. So it's critical you have a demonstrated track record of leading high caliber tech teams. Remember, you will be the CTO! 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing web-based platforms and mobile applications would be highly desirable. Having said that, we are not a stickler for duration of experience. So if you're falling short of what we- re asking for, but still believe very strongly that you have what it takes to lead from the front at dirvest then do get in touch and we will be happy to discuss. Exposure to banking / wealth management will be a definite plus, though not a prerequisite.

WHAT'S ON OFFER

There's very substantial equity on offer. You should ideally be able to sustain yourself without any remuneration for the first six month (although we are open to considering a sustenance pay during this time). Needless to say remunerations will be re-calibrated post our first round raise. More importantly, we promise an experience that's as transformative for you personally as it would be for the investment advisory industry at large.
