Director - Technology - BFSI

For a US promoted investment banking corporation at Gurgaon

Principal Responsibilities:

- Lead a team of highly qualified software developers/engineers using agile/SCRUM methodology

- Maintain systems and establish processes that would enable the business to run effectively

- Create, evangelize and execute on the system architecture

- Participate as a leader to define and implement the vision for high frequency trading systems

- Continually improve and optimize the product development process

- Help design and develop high frequency, ultra-low latency trading platform

- Collaborate with external vendor resources, including help with selection of trading products

- Set and manage expectations, communicate and execute goals within timelines

Requirements:

- 5-10+ years leading teams of technology developers and engineers

- 10+ years of experience developing software products and technologies

- History of strong leadership and ability to maintain a collaborative culture

- Previously managed, mentored, motivated and grew a mature and goal-driven engineering team

- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field for top tier college

- Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). Nice to have Agile/Scrum experience

- Comprehensive knowledge of .NET, C#, SQL Server, Windows, Linux, Visual Studio

- Familiarity with financial and trading domain is useful but not required

- Passionate about building world class products, expect to be hands-on, with ability and will to get into the details.
