Job Description :

- Someone who can take ownership of the technology vertical.

- Understand business goals, and translate them into technology solutions for a mass-market, often rural/small-town, user base.

- Strong engineering skills are a must (6+ years of relevant experience in a high growth startup), such that you can build and resolve technical issues and mentor the other tech team members without too much external dependency.

- We are looking for someone with great team skills, who can tap into their professional network to build the in-house technology team as per the capacity requirement.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop the technical strategy in line with the overarching product vision- Evaluate existing capability, define the tech stack, design the app architecture, set up the infrastructure

- Develop and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures related to IT procurement, inventorying, warrantying, management, deployment, training, and retiring/replacement

- Develop and monitor the budget, procurement and contracting activities related to technology

- Build and lead an agile and responsive team responsible for maintaining a secure and stable computing environment with maximum system availability and performance that also manages and accounts for security risks

- Build a high performance coding culture. Imbibe the start-ups values and behaviour and scale it for growth, become the IT face of the organisation

- Ensure competitive advantage with the help of cutting edge technology

- Reporting to the C-Suite

Desired Skills :

- Hands-on experience building mobile/web applications using Java, Javascript, Go, Ruby, or Python.

- Good understanding of tradeoffs in building different types of architecture and tech stack for both front-end and/or back-end

- Atleast 5-6 years of experience building on public cloud services such as Azure, AWS or GCP

- Experience building, managing and hiring teams in fast-paced startup environments

- Good understanding of development and deployment practices and tools like Git/Github, Kubernetes, Terraform is a big plus.
