Director - Supply Chain - Manufacturing

The Director Supply Chain role is based with a Reputed MNC in Bangalore into the manufacturing of Solar Inverters and Semi Conductors.

Supply Chain Director is responsible for managing supply chain operations.This position will be responsible for supply planning, material forecasting, inventory management and capacity planning as well as all supply metrics such as On-Time delivery, Lead Time, Inventory and shipment linearity.A candidate with Global Exposure is mandatory for the role (China Market is preferred)

Responsibilities:

- Lead the worldwide supply chain operations team

- Will be the owner of ensuring on-time delivery of our product to meet customers needs. Will be responsible for managing supply chain to achieve world class lead times and managing inventory levels to meet financial and delivery needs.

- Works in partnership with the Sales Operations team to ensure supply always meets demand.

- Ensure demand plans are fulfilled by actively managing raw material supply along with procurement team

- Owns supply planning tools and ensures the models for capacity and delivery are always accurate and match actual performance.

- Owns inventory and establish controls to ensure optimum inventory to meet financial targets while always meet customer demand.

- Key stake holder in existing and new product planning processes to assure timely acquisition of materials to support product launches

- Owner in implementation of new ERP system and optimize its use

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree with a MBA in supply chain management is desirable.

- 8-10 years of experience in direct management of supply chain organization for a global company

- Experience in building supply chain teams with capabilities/experience to tackle new business requirements

- Must have analytical problem-solving capability and be detail oriented

- Experience in Systems or equivalent: ERP-Oracle R12, ERP Reporting tool - Discoverer

- Experience with EDI & system integration (supply partners using Company's systems)
