Director - Studio Production Operations

ROLE :

- The Production Operations Director will be based in our Mumbai Offshore Hub and will ensure the studio maintains operational excellence throughout all disciplines. This will include digital-online production, digital development, traditional broadcast production & post-production, and all facets of print production services.

- The successful candidate must have extensive knowledge in the studio production environment and be able to demonstrate a history of successful studio's they have built up and maintained.

- A background in offshoring experience will be key in order to deliver the operational excellence that is required on a day to day basis.

- This role will report into the Regional MD for APAC.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Operations :

- Manage and oversee the integrated production operations, workflow and resources for the Mumbai Production Hub

- Analysis business operations, design and implement workflows, processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs

- Establish best practices with on boarding new and existing clients

- Improve studio business process, expand capabilities & workflow through technology, and drive incremental production revenues in the new digital economy within the network & globally

- Management of new business opportunities

- Work with regional and studio leads to determine growth opportunities

Financial :

- Work with the Local CFO and Global CFO to monitor and manage the ongoing financial performance of company against agreed projections and forecasts (including revenues, profit margins and other key performance metrics)

- Develop and maintain rate cards, locally and globally that ensure continued competitiveness within the marketplace

- Create forward plan budgets and forecasts as required within the company's financial cycle

- Monitor all financial metrics related to production staffing - billability, utilization, investment allocations and revenue forecasts

Structure and Talent :

- Assist on organizational restructuring efforts, casting, forecasting and talent management

- Partner with the CFO, HR department and other global offices to optimize all staffing activities within the production group - open hires, rotation planning, freelance management and vendor management

- Promotion of a culture that celebrates the key pillars of company's offering - Craftsmanship, Intelligence and Community

REQUIRED SKILLS :

- Must have at least 10+ years of experience as an operations executive within an integrated production environment

- Strong business acumen to support the daily financial management and strategic commercial vision of the organization

- Must be a competent leader, teacher and mentor for others

- Experienced collaborator with creative agencies and offshore production facilities

- Ability to mine and secure additional direct client relationships beyond those supplied through creative agencies.
