Director - Student Affairs - University

The recruited member will play an integral part in the development of the new university and will assist in determining its strategy and direction. The successful candidates will be a part of the senior management team reporting to the Vice Chancellor to develop the university's overall strategies, policies and programs.

As a Director - Student Affairs, this person will head the student affairs department and will focus on enhancing ways for students to develop and grow; responsible for the strategic leadership and day-to-day operations of student programs on campus.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Director- Student Affairs, so designated in relation to the authority concerned, shall be:

- Key functions under the department: engaging with students, formation of student activity clubs and committees, conduct of student related events (cultural fest, technical fest etc.), student grievance redressal, student counseling, student welfare etc.

- To ensure a high quality of campus life for the students

- To direct and administer system-wide co-curriculum events, including the forecasting, planning, developing, promoting and evaluation of programs and services that are focused on providing a diverse student body with opportunities for personal growth and leadership development

- To address and resolve any student related issues

- To advise students and take their pastoral care

- To manage a team of student counselors

Requirements/Eligibility - 

- Master's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institute

- Preference would be given to candidates with 10 or more years of experience and exposure in handling large volume of students (universities or schools) with diverse backgrounds

- Candidates are expected to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and must have a deep understanding of the higher education landscape in India and internationally

- Preferred candidate - From AP region (multi linguistic - English, Telugu and Hindi essential)
