Director - Strategic Sourcing - Steel / Metal Job Summary : - Stimulating purchasing excellence through strategic sourcing initiatives,&nbsp;including innovative commodity studies, supplier transformation, interaction with&nbsp;segment steering committees and keeping an overall tab on procurement costs&nbsp;for the company. - Develop Sourcing Strategy jointly with Procurement Department, intended&nbsp;to fulfil needs of the company. - Set Standards / guidelines in line with best practices for company wide&nbsp;sourcing activities. - Pursue sustainable reduction in total cost of goods and services procured,&nbsp;with simultaneous improvement in quality, competitiveness and service&nbsp;levels. - Identify innovative solutions to enhance total cost of ownership savings&nbsp;(TCO) / VIU whether through direct saving by pooling company wide&nbsp;purchasing volume or indirect savings realized by enhancing the overall&nbsp;effectiveness of the supply management process. - Monitor savings achieved through various sourcing initiatives. - Set targets for service levels, reduction in costs, vendor performance etc. - Identify and remove bottlenecks in supply chain organisation. - Develop plans for supplier transformation. - Ensure effectiveness implementation of HR practices within Strategic&nbsp;Sourcing. - Identify global best practices for Strategic Sourcing and ensure&nbsp;improvements to achieve those standards. - Controlling &amp; monitoring of Inventory. - Development of Team
