Location:Bangalore Reporting: Head- WF Advantage Start-up and College Role Context: - Founded in 2000, the Foundation's primary mission is economic acceleration in emerging economies. The Foundation is driving economic growth in India and other Asian countries through large-scale initiatives in job creation and skill development. - For job creation, the Foundation established the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) in 2003. - NEN Colleges vertical scopes, identifies and develops educational programs to develop faculty members in India into inspired and effective entrepreneurship educators and mentors for aspiring and new start-ups. - Programs are developed to progressively deal with the increasing complexity of concepts and pedagogies that are relevant to develop knowledge and skills among students and young entrepreneurs. - NEN has built a strong network in India that continue to inspire, educate and support emerging entrepreneurs. - Thousands of practicing entrepreneurs and start-ups are also supported through NEN's Entrepreneur Academy that features hundreds of short videos from experienced entrepreneurs, angels, VCs along with dozens of longer video courses and blog posts. - The Director Colleges, Start-ups Incubator and accelerator - will help start-ups collaborate thereby creating an ecosystem of co-innovation and co-development. - Creating of an Entrepreneur Ecosystem: In 20 cities around India supporting thousands of entrepreneurs that achieve 100% growth in 3-5 years. - NEN will do the work of an incubator and an accelerator by helping start-up companies to develop by providing training and research - As an accelerator, NEN will conduct cohorts that include connections, mentorship, educational components, and culminate in a public pitch event. - He/she will also affect the economic development through - Job creation- via the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) - Facilitating the capacity development of member institutes - this includes working with the head of the institution, faculty leaders, and students to help structure, design and execute the right experiential programs Responsibilities: Ecosystem development to include the following: Entrepreneur Create: Establish the NEN Entrepreneurship Education Program in 500 Top Colleges, plus 200 other colleges (light touch). - Developing and delivering new programs to encourage cross-campus entrepreneurial activity. - Develops strategy on marketing the Programs in colleges - Strategize on building a nationwide community of NEN entrepreneurship faculty - Develop annual plans, targets and budgets in executing workshops and events - Supporting collaboration and increased communication across the Colleges and entrepreneurship community Entrepreneur Ecosystem: In identified cities, in their respective region supporting thousands of entrepreneurs that achieve 100% growth in 3-5 years. Ecosystem development to include the following: - Mentors: Establish an average of 50 mentors (including vertical and horizontal experts) per city for a total of 1000 mentors across 20 cities. - Customers/Service Providers: Also, build 25-30 customer (prospects for start-ups/SME) and 25-30 service provider networks per city, in each of the 20 cities. - Global Entrepreneur Networking Platform as a mobile app. that enables connects, work-flow, user rating, among entrepreneurs and mentors, investor, customers, service providers. In your pocket social media access to learning videos, webinars, events, etc. - Cohorts : Start a number of cohorts in discussion with the management - Identify and select potential start-ups for the incubation program. - Deep dive into financial statements, forecasts and funding requirements of the start-ups - Cohorts to help in the areas of strategy, business plan development, market analysis and set up - Build a mentoring relationship through the mentor pool. - Define deliverables, their timelines and monitor progress of start-ups - Accelerators: Demonstrate successful model for accelerators for venture creation, start up hyper-growth and SME growth in multiple cities and build a replicable/franchising model for Accelerators and through Govt. partnerships/franchising create 3-5 accelerators in each of the 20 cities for each of the three stages of entrepreneurs defined above. Requirements: - Should have been a successful entrepreneur - Should have a consulting background (preferably from the big 4) - Extensive experience in deploying and scaling solutions with achievement and outcome orientation - Experience with business incubators/accelerators - Understands entrepreneurs; customer centric, tech-savvy &amp; good sales leader - Domain expertise - Experience of handling SME's between 1ML to 10ML - Responsible for the departmental Budget
