Interim Director - Sales - Luxury Hotel Chain


A leading hospitality group operating 13 hotels across India, with a special focus on promoting business, leisure, and medical tourism. We are committed to providing exceptional experiences and services to our guests, and we are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as Director Sales in Dhaka.

Job Description:

As a Director sales - Dhaka, you will be responsible for driving outbound sales efforts targeting corporates and travel agents, especially in Kolkata and India, and other hotels within the group. Your role will involve setting and achieving sales targets, promoting business, leisure, and medical tourism, and building strong relationships with travel agents and corporate clients

Responsibilities:

- Outbound Sales: Understand and implement outbound sales strategies targeting corporates and travel agents, both online and offline, with a special focus on Kolkata and India. Achieve sales targets for the Hotel in Kolkata and other hotels in the group.

- Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with travel agents to promote business, leisure, and medical tourism. Collaborate closely with corporate clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.

- Sales Targets: Set clear sales targets for leisure, corporate, medical travel, and MICE segments, with a special focus on the Hotel in Kolkata and across all 13 hotels of the group. Develop and execute strategies to achieve and exceed these targets.

- Team Management: Manage and develop a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the achievement of sales objectives and the continuous improvement of sales processes.

- Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth across all segments, aiming for a 2X increase in sales revenue. Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and implement strategies to capitalize on these opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Graduate or Post Graduate with 10 -15 years relevant experience in the hotel industry or travel trade, with a strong background in sales and business development.

- Proven track record of success in outbound sales, with experience targeting corporates and travel agents for hotel bookings and promoting tourism.

- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate sales teams to achieve exceptional results.

Reporting : This position reports to the General Managers and maintains a functional reporting relationship with senior management across the organization.

The mission of this role is to develop sales for all segments (leisure, corporate, medical, MICE, travel), with a special focus on Kolkata and across all 13 hotels of the group. The key challenge lies in achieving and exceeding sales targets, building strong relationships with travel agents and corporate clients, and driving revenue growth in a competitive market.
