Hiring Sales Director for a US Based Fortune 500

Specific responsibilities will include:

- Developing a comprehensive sales and marketing plan for the client in the India market and coordinating its implementation to drive aggressive market/customer penetration

- Leading all direct and indirect sales activities including the setting of sales goals and strategies, customer penetration objectives, executive selling engagements, and customer satisfaction metrics

- Hands on ability to monitor and drive individual / country tactical plans to ensure closure of strategic design wins and forecasted business opportunities, defining and implementing corrective actions as needed

- Ensuring that the India organization has in place the appropriate organizational structure and resources required to deliver a market leadership position.

- Continually evaluating the performance and talent in the organization and ensuring that a robust talent acquisition and development plan is in place

- Orchestrating and driving the collaboration of the sales force, product line personnel, marketing teams, and distribution partners toward the attainment of design-win and revenue goals.

- Communicating proactively with global product line counterparts and accurately presenting emerging local customer requirements for clients products and solutions

- Developing/leveraging a selling methodology that delivers qualified opportunities and predictable revenue forecasts

- Advocating within clients on behalf of our India customers to deliver complete business solutions with the highest levels of customer service and quality.

- A credible leader: who demonstrates exceptional Semiconductor market knowledge and insight, coupled with a willingness to roll-up one's sleeves and work with the entire worldwide organization ) to deliver exceptional value to customers ( leading to major design wins and significant revenue opportunities )

- A leader who can inspire and develop people and drive culture transformation in India and be able to deal with ambiguity

- A strategic and tactical sales management professional: who develops and instills a tight, consistent focus on priorities and sales strategies, and who insures that the focus is shared across the organization by delving into details with members of the broader India team at all levels

- A relationship-oriented executive: who develops strong relationships with key decision makers at major customers and who successfully leverages those relationships to introduce new products and solutions

- A result orientated leader: who gets things done in a complex, global organization, with an ability to push against "institutional obstacles" and take strategic risks to achieve results

- A skilled operational executive: who is able to define sales processes and metrics to enable scaleable growth with quality, high customer satisfaction, efficiency, and predictability of revenue

- A creative, high energy, ambitious, team player who possesses the highest level of ethics and integrity

Ideal Experience and Background :

The ideal candidate will be an experienced sales leader and marketing leader with strong Key Account Management Leadership skills and a successful track record in complex sales environments and experience in the semiconductor industry or other relevant dynamic high tech industry.

S/he should understand the company's overall strategic plan and become an influencer both internally and externally with strong strategic initiative to win the business.

- Bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering or the equivalent; ideally an advanced degree or M.B.A., and 15+ years of relevant and progressive sales management experience in a $ 500 million + sophisticated organization

- A demonstrated understanding of how to sell directly, and through distribution and other complex channels in a global electronics environment

- Semiconductor industry experience is a plus

- Management experience is at least more than 5 years

- Requires the ability and the judgment to establish clear plans and goals while maintaining the flexibility to adjust in a rapidly changing environment

- Proven ability to interact, influence and motivate management and staff across an organization, and works well within a matrix environment
