Sales Director - Cement/ Steel or Building Materials

To build and maintain a high-performance sales organization to effectively achieve business objectives.

Summary Of Duties and Responsibility:

- Dealer Management

- Distributor Management

- Dealers and Distributors


- New Business Development

- Sales Team Handling

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Create and implement effective direct sales strategies and lead nationwide direct sales personnel towards the achievement of the sales objectives.

- Develop competencies and processes required to create an effective and efficient sales organization.

- Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary.

- Provide sales management, budget control, compensation programs and incentive planning.

- Ensure effective hiring, orientation, training, development, and retention of the sales staff.

- Provide supervision through field visits, observations and measurement of results to include performance appraisals and salary reviews.

- Proactively identify changes in the industry, delivery systems, and competitive pressures to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.

- Manage to meet/exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.

- Partner with the Manager in the development of key market relationship management.

- Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments (Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities.

- Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies.

- Attend meetings, seminars, and conferences as appropriate.

Qualification And Experience:

1. MBA In Marketing with 15+ years of Experience in Cement or Steel or Building Materials Industry & at least 7+ years of experience managing a direct sales force & Managed at least Two Regions & South Region is Must.

2. Experience and success in recruiting and retaining a high-performance sales team and a demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse sales team.

3. Demonstrated ability to achieve sales plans.

4. Proven business analysis and judgment with the ability to proactively manage business and P&L to meet objectives.

5. Demonstrated ability to professionally develop and coach team members.

6. Strategy development, project management, problem-solving, and change management skills.

7. Solid understanding of the building material industry and regulatory requirements and issues.

8. Ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally.

9. Ability to effectively present information and negotiate with all levels of management including MD, CFO, CEO, CMO.

10. Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.

11. Business-related computer skills Microsoft Office Suite.
