Position Overview : We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Head to launch and monopolize the crowded yet promising baby diaper market in India. As the Sales Head, one will be responsible to launch the product, create the market, develop a robust distributor network, drive a clear omnichannel sales approach and implement it. Your primary focus will be on achieving sales targets, managing a high-performing sales team, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities :

1. Sales Strategy and Planning :

- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy and business plan for the baby diaper product line, aligned with company goals and objectives.

- Identify new market opportunities, target customer segments, and sales channels to maximize revenue potential.

- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences to inform sales strategies and decision-making.

- Set ambitious sales targets and develop sales forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics.

2. Sales Team Leadership :

- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team, providing motivation, guidance, and professional development opportunities.

- Define and communicate sales targets, territories, and performance expectations, ensuring alignment with overall sales objectives.

- Conduct regular sales meetings, monitor performance, provide coaching and feedback, and implement corrective actions as needed.

- Foster a collaborative and positive team culture, promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

3. Customer Relationship Management :

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and retailers in the baby diaper market.

- Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to understand customer needs and preferences and develop customized sales strategies and solutions.

- Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts, identifying opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and addressing any customer concerns or issues.

- Resolve escalated customer complaints and ensure timely resolution to maximize customer satisfaction and loyalty.

4. Sales Execution and Performance Monitoring :

- Drive the sales process from lead generation and customer acquisition to negotiations, contract finalization, and ongoing account management.

- Curate and enrol the top end of the distributors to take the product to market

- Bring exceptional focus to institutional sales and direct subscription business models for baby diapers and allied products

- Work closely with the Operations and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery to meet customer requirements.

- Monitor sales performance, analyze sales data and market trends, and provide regular reports and insights to management.

- Identify and implement sales optimization initiatives, including pricing strategies, promotional activities, and sales force effectiveness improvements.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration :

- Collaborate closely with Marketing to align sales and marketing strategies, drive lead generation, and support marketing campaigns and initiatives.

- Work with Product Development and Operations teams to provide market feedback, identify product improvement opportunities, and support new product launches.

- Coordinate with Finance and Legal departments to ensure compliance with pricing guidelines, contracts, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Additional certifications or an MBA is a plus.

- Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, preferably within the baby care or consumer goods industry.

- In-depth understanding of the baby diaper market, customer dynamics, and distribution channels is a must have.

- Strong leadership abilities, with a demonstrable track record of building and managing high-performing sales teams.

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade key stakeholders.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

- Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies and action plans successfully.

- Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills, with a solution-oriented approach.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
