Description - The Director R&D for Antibodies & Characterization will be responsible for managing scientists involved in developing products and solutions for developing and characterizing antibody products

Description:

- Direct management responsibility for all research and product development activities for the Antibody Development group, includes development work on the extensive characterization of the antibody portfolio

- Evaluates schedules, scope, cost and risk associated with research & development programs.

- Supports other departments such as manufacturing, technical support and quality by providing scientific guidance and assignment of resources to assist in troubleshooting

- Represents R&D group to other sites and divisions for cross-site collaborations and projects

Profile :

- A Ph.D. in Biology, Biochemistry or a related field, with 10-12 years of relevant post-doctoral industrial experience or a BS/MS with 13-17 years of relevant industrial experience.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently yet team oriented and within a global matrix team environment

- Strong knowledge of, antibody development, biochemistry, cell biology

- Demonstrates ability to design R&D strategies, influence stakeholders, and drive execution by leading through others.

- Demonstrates effective communication skills through formal and informal discussions with peers, team, colleagues, supervisor and upper management

- Ability to work independently to initiate, take ownership of, and lead research into innovative antibody and antibody characterization approaches.
