Company Profile :

One of the world leaders in the sales and manufacture of gelatin and non-gelatin capsules and an innovator in drug delivery systems is looking for Director - Quality with a proven track record in Assurance, Control, Documentation, Vendor Audits, Customer Audits are handled with required rigour.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Responsible to prepare a strategic long term plan on how Quality will be handled at the company.

- Responsible to translate all the relevant Global Quality Standards into the organisation.

- Responsible to build a strong team of professionals and ability to lead them to ensure that all facets of quality such as Assurance, Control, Documentation, Vendor Audits, Customer Audits are handled with required rigour.

- Champion the cause of quality within the organisation by continuously seeking ways to increase awareness on benefit of high quality across the organisation.

- Build rapport with Production and Line functions so that they see Quality as an enabling function, and at the same time ensure that there is no compromise on quality.

- Manage Quality budget and optimize

- Ensure that a robust Hold & Release process is operational at all times.

- Ensure that a seamless link operates between Commercial / Supplier Quality, the Factory and Quality in Distribution.

Ideal Candidates :

- 10-16 years of total experience in Quality and Safety Management Systems with excellent understanding of all the Quality processes and nuances that need to be implemented in pharma Industry.

- Must possess a degree in a science or pharmaceuticals discipline.

- Must have auditing experience with Lead Auditor qualification being ideal.

- Must have the ability to lead others with line management experience being desirable.

- Must have the ability to train others in quality and safety related topics.

- Must be service oriented in approach, high intrinsic drive & motivation. (As against sense of power, credit seeking behavior & sense of self importance).

- Should be a good team player with collaborative approach with a high level of self confidence and the ability to influence team members and also open to getting influenced.

- Must be a good listener and responsive rather than being rigid & reactive.

- Must have analytical and problem solving skills along with an ability to take tough decisions when required.

Desired Profile :

Minimum Qualifications : Degree in a science or pharmaceuticals

Minimum Experience : 10-16 years of total experience in Quality and Safety Management Systems

Industry preference : Pharmaceuticals

Reporting to : EMEA Quality Lead
