Director - Quality Assurance/Testing - SaaS Firm

What You'll Do:

We looking for Director of QA. He will be responsible for all quality assurance operations, compliance, and QA activities. The role is responsible for providing strategic leadership to the quality control team, and implementing, executing, and maintaining quality systems in accordance with business strategy, industry standards, and global regulatory standards of the company.

Software testing is at the heart of quality assurance and a critical element in the solution delivery process. Professionals within the testing specialty focus on the use of methodologies and techniques as well as tools and technologies.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

- Develop and establish best practices for Product Quality assurance and Process assurance including Test Automation & DevOps.

- Work with product management, release management, business stakeholders and engineering & architecture leadership to understand software requirements. Help shape, estimate and plan testing needs, resourcing, and generate release plans.

- Monitor teams' work completion rate, automation coverage, defect rates & density, cycle times and other quality assurance KPIs. Understand quality and timeline risks and make process improvement recommendations to the team, management and business stakeholders.

- Advise and contribute to the enhancement of the test automation framework, coverage, skills, and behavior Driven Development of product features and functionality.

- Determine hiring plan and recruit, motivate and lead the best engineering & QA talent.

- Mentor and develop the skills of members of the QA team, cultivating a culture of learning.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor's degree or University degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or a business-related university with a strong IT affinity.

- 15 - 20 years of deep experience in Software testing (including test automation); Project Management & Program management in both Waterfall and Agile delivery models

- Proven leadership experience managing teams of minimum 15 QA Team Members.

- Team player with good leadership capabilities.

- Extensive experience in developing and executing test scripts and test cases at the required level of detail for each project/feature request.

- Experience with industry-specific QA techniques and methodologies preferred.

- Experienced in defining and implementing E2E test strategies (including automation aspects) and industry best practices.

- Experienced with the integration of test automation in Agile projects with DevOps background including the definition and follow up ROI for test automation business case.

- Strong knowledge across various test tools such as HP ALM, Selenium or equivalents.

- Knowledge of latest Quality Engineering market trends.

- Proven experience with Agile & DevOps methodologies.

- Experience working with Near/Offshore Delivery Centers.

- Effective communicator at C-Level & strong reporting skills.
