Description - The incumbent will be responsible for enabling the use of leading software testing best practices and help propagate test automation coverage. Leading a team of highly skilled Devops & QA engineers, the candidate will be responsible for working directly with the VP to drive the technology roadmap for the organization.

Description : 

- Develop and establish best practices for Product Quality assurance and Process assurance including Test Automation & DevOps.

- Work with product management, release management, business stakeholders and engineering & architecture leadership to understand software requirements. Help shape, estimate and plan testing needs, resourcing, and generate release plans.

- Monitor teams' work completion rate, automation coverage, defect rates & density, cycle times and other quality assurance KPIs. Understand quality and timeline risks and make process improvement recommendations to the team, management and business stakeholders.

- Advise and contribute to the enhancement of the test automation framework, coverage, skills, and Behaviour Driven Development of product features and functionality.

- Determine hiring plan and recruit, motivate and lead the best engineering & QA talent.

- Mentor and develop the skills of members of the QA team, cultivating a culture of learning.

Profile

Must Haves:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business or similar field

- 10+ years' hands-on experience leading Quality assurance and / or Quality Engineering teams in a .Net Stack along with Test frameworks such as JMeter, JUnit, AppDynamics, TestNG Selenium or similar

- Demonstrable experience of building high performing quality engineering teams and test automation frameworks that help 'shift-left' through the SDLC

- Significant talent for handling stressful situations effectively, prioritizing work, meeting deadlines and motivating others

- Experience in recruiting, hiring and retaining the best software engineers, DevOps and QA professionals

- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering well designed, high quality enterprise software on schedule

Good to Haves:

- Experience working with globally distributed teams

- Comprehensive knowledge of progressive software engineering lifecycle processes like lean principles, scrum, SAFe, Scrum@Scale, XP, Kanban, TDD, BDD, continuous integration and continuous delivery
