Director - Public Policy & Research - Consulting Firm

One of our clients, a global consulting firm has retained us to help them fill the position - Director Public Policy and Research

- Participates as a staff team member and represents the organization in various collaborative activities and projects, including Steering Committee meetings, Collaborative public events, workshops and training events;

- Engage network of public officials, private stakeholders, and community groups to present the work for dissemination and feedback and to solicit viewpoints to inform future research and policy work

- Work with the Data and Evaluation Committee and all working groups in carrying out data- related responsibilities

- To produce a wide range of high quality written outputs for various audiences including high-quality, well targeted research reports, policy briefings, blogs and other outputs

- Develop, align and implement relevant policies in close collaboration the relevant business leaders

- To develop and manage relationships with research institutes, think tanks, policy makers and other third sector organisations

- Work with research teams to translate academic research into policy briefs and other materials intended for non- academic audiences

- Strong linkages and coordination between global and regional policy initiatives supporting and promoting country implementation

- Perform work independently in own field of specialization, equipped with knowledge and experience of multiple discipline

- Develop and maintain relationships with public officials and their staff, community leaders, and coalition partners

- Develops, implements and monitors an evaluation plan addressing logic models, strategic and program evaluation questions, data collection methods, analysis and reporting

- Supports programs by using data to improve programs and respond to client needs

- Works with key staff to set evaluation outcome goals

- Maintains links and collaborates where possible with other external data collection, evaluation and systems changes efforts in the Zone

- Develops data collection policies and practices and monitors uniform data collection compliance and quality across organizations

- Review and provide advice on proposed operational policies, procedures, and country strategy and operational programs of country office in light of evaluation findings and development context

A Master's degree in Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Science, or other relevant disciplines. Minimum of 15 years of government relations experience, in health related issues and development of public policy positions .
