Director - Program Management - Telecom

1. Responsible for leading and managing the efforts for the assigned product Support group; driving the product group strategy; delivering expected solutions as well as being proactive in delivering new solutions.

2.The profile involves managing multiple teams working across various domains including telecom protocols, service creation environment, messaging & notification systems, media processing & handset application development.

3.Work with stakeholders including product management, quality & certification, product support and solution architecture to deliver high quality, reliable & scalable products.

4.The role calls for active role in people management, mentoring & coaching, designing solutions for complex problems & delivering these solutions on quality and within committed timelines.

5.Work will also involve working with external hardware and software vendors to evaluate and integrate their products for use in our solutions.

Key responsibility:

Communicate the product group's road map and technology strategy to the team and obtain their buy-in

- Monitor progress of development initiatives to ensure adherence to specified quality standards and timelines

- Handle end to end process steps including requirements around design, development, testing, deployment and product support

- Product Support - Ensure prompt response to production issues (Engineering support provided to L2 support teams)

Skills

Knowledge of Telecom protocols (SS7 & SIP) is essential.

- Experience building applications using Relational Databases (MySQL experience preferred).

- Working knowledge of ORM (Hibernate) & Web Containers (Tomcat)

- Knowledge of new generation technologies including Server Side Java Scripting (node.js), Client Side Javascript Frameworks (Angular, React.js) & NoSQL data stores (MongoDB) will be added advantage.

- Working knowledge of media processing & streaming capabilities will be an added advantage.
