Director - Product Development

A leadership level opportunity with a company of high repute

Responsibilities:

- In partnership with business leaders and product management, lead and develop product strategy.

- Build, maintain and leverage working relationships with both internal and external customers.

- Review and validate product release plans.

- Monitor product development activities.

- Effectively manage resources and budgets across organization to maximize performance and efficiency.

- Define Service Level Agreements, systematically review and recommend initiatives to improve SLAs; remove obstacles that limit our delivery and ability to exceed customer expectations.

- Identify long term organizational capability and talent requirements.

- Drive a high level of employee engagement by effectively communicating Company strategy, product vision and organizational scorecards.

- Create and nourish an environment that drives continuous improvement and optimizes best practices.

- Contribute to developing software in support of our mortgage servicing, asset management, electronic invoicing, payment processing and vendor management business segments.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

- Must be a strategic thinker who provides thought leadership to product suite.

- Data driven planning and decision making.

- Strong motivator and team builder.

- High degree of customer orientation.

- Must be an advocate of lean processes.

- Be committed to organizational development and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

- A Bachelors degree in Engineering from accredited school, Masters Degree preferred.

- 15+ years of experience managing a technology function in a Product Development set-up.

- Currently in a leadership role – managing teams and responsibility for software product delivery.

- Hands on experience in building and delivering enterprise class software products.

- Hands on technical experience with one of more of the following technologies - Java, J2EE, RDBMS, SOA, Middleware
