The Director, Platform Product Management manages the team of Business Analysts and Product Managers in Bangalore and works closely with peers heading other functional areas like Engineering, Quality and Professional Services on the one hand and the General Managers of Products on the other, in order to successfully deliver MNC’s products and services.

Responsibilities:

- Create and maintain product roadmap for Platform product enhancements by working with the VP Platform Product Management in the US and developing the vision into an actionable roadmap.

- Work closely with the General Managers of all products to ensure that the platform supports the demands of all the products

- Interface directly with customers to ensure that the MNC platform supports the needs of the market and is competitively positioned to win.

- Build and retain a high performance team of Business Analysts and Product Managers with the right knowledge and skills

- Work with engineering to ensure that the roadmap becomes a reality

- Contribute to evangelizing the products internally Be a part of the local management team and facilitate successful delivery of products

- Be a proud and vocal user of the MNC software and ensure that it lives up to the standards that will make you proud. Be your own number one customer

- Ensure that external communication (documents, marketing, etc) are all accurate, and position MNC to win in the market place.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The candidate’s background and experience at a minimum should meet the following criteria:

- A Bachelors or Postgraduate degree (MBA preferred) from a college of repute

- A minimum overall software-industry experience of at least 15 years with exposure to multi-cultural work environments.

- Domain knowledge in the areas of Banking and Finance

- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a proven track record of success

- Hands-on experience as senior manager in Software Product Management (required) and Engineering/Testing (helpful)

- Managerial experience in a multi-national software company required, Extended time working in the US desirable

- Work experience in Scrum or any other agile process is desirable

- Creative and forward thinking with excellent spoken and written English communication skills

- Ability to communicate recommendations and influence change

- Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of management including senior level executives both internally and externally.
