Position: Director, Operations – DVD and Blu-ray, Media Services

Summary of the Role:

- Manage all aspects of the operational delivery of projects ensuring that they are on time, to the specification and to the appropriate quality. Ensure client expectations are met and constantly improve the production process and drive efficiency. Upraise management with project status and management information.

Primary Job Duties:

- Ensure delivery of projects according to the SLA.

- Effectively plan, schedule and monitor the projects.

- Guide the middle management staff and ensure that they are aligned to organizational goals.

- Manage facility capacity and client expectations.

- Handle escalations and arbitrate conflicts in production.

- Ensure continuous improvement of production process.

- Track performance metrics and report them to the top management.

- Based on the metrics drive operational efficiency.

- Manage customer complaints and drive process improvements

- Interact with the counterparts in various facilities and meet their expectations.

- Constantly keep the management updated with the happenings, status and other developments in the business divisions.

- Optimum utilization of manpower and machines/system.

- Ensure effective coordination between departments and proactively address all issues

- Supervision and problem solving regarding operations and workflow issues.

- Must possess trouble shooting capabilities in the production process.

- Should be able to lead and initiate process improvement.

- Consistent and timely communication with employees regarding production and quality goals expectations.

- Update management with employee’s performance.

- Conduct quarterly staffing reviews for hiring

- Conduct annual performance appraisals of employees.

Desired Qualities:

- Must have managed medium to large diverse teams for technical or semi-technical processes

- Must have prior experience in in the media field, preferably in the C&A (DVD and Blu-ray production space)

- Must have worked closely with global stakeholders as colleagues and clients in a multi-national organization. BPO management experience is also relevant.

- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to multitask

- Must possess strong leadership and communication skills.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style

- Must have experience in conflict resolution and employee retention strategies

- Experience in the audio/video and quality assurance field is highly desired

- Should posses sound knowledge in MS Office packages

- A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace

- Ability to stay connected and keep communication real time in a virtual team scenario

Qualification and Experience:

- Should possess a Masters Degree.

- Masters in management will be preferred.

- Engineering background a plus

- Should possess 12 to 20 years of experience
