Responsibilities:
Client Consultation: Engage with manufacturing clients to understand their business objectives, operational challenges, and growth opportunities.
Operational Analysis: Conduct comprehensive assessments of client operations, including production processes, supply chain management, inventory control, and quality assurance.
Strategic Planning: Develop customized strategies and action plans to improve operational performance, streamline processes, and reduce costs.
Implementation Support: Collaborate with client teams to implement recommended solutions, providing guidance, training, and support throughout the implementation process.
Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of implemented initiatives and track progress towards achieving operational goals.
Business Development: Identify potential clients and opportunities for business expansion within the manufacturing sector. Lead business development efforts, including proposal development, presentations, and negotiations.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner. Proactively identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services.
Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies in the manufacturing sector. Use market insights to inform consulting recommendations and business development strategies.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to align consulting services with overall company objectives and priorities.
Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular progress reports, performance analysis, and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience (X years) in operations consulting, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality management principles, and supply chain dynamics.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully driving operational improvements and delivering measurable results for clients.
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on identifying opportunities for revenue generation and business growth.
- Proactive attitude, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Additional Information:
- This position may require travel to client sites as needed.
- Certification in relevant areas such as Lean Six Sigma, Project Management, or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
