Director - Market Risk - BFSI

Role and Responsibilities

As the Director in Market Risk you will be

- Accountable to deliver strategic reporting platform for Market Risk from business standpoint which complies with BCBS239 principles

- Implement & manage a governance which helps to priorities and deliver reporting requirements across the firm as per business priorities (such as RWA savings initiatives, regulatory initiatives, internal business strategy implementations)

- Build and maintain an integrated reporting road map which factors in all of the above (i.e. BCBS239, program requirements and legacy reports retirement)

- Forecast, monitor and manage integrated market risk reporting budget for business and review and enhancements to the delivery model to achieve cost efficiency

Essential Criteria

To be eligible to apply for this role you will need to have

- A Graduate /Post graduate degree in any field from a good university

- Over 12 years of work experience in Risk with in Banking and financial

- Experience in building and managing large team of between 10 - 30 resources.

- Experience in project management, in front office, risk management or associated functions and deliveries of reporting agenda from IT infrastructure development perspective

- A sound experience and knowledge in risk management concepts and understanding of regulations such as BASEL framework, BCBS239 etc

- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and architecture. Extensive system implementation experience
