Director - Market Insights - Research

Candidate Description:

- Manage 12-15 people with varied experience levels and multiple skill sets in the areas of primary and secondary research, strategic data analysis

- Build culture of innovation and thought leadership to go beyond delivery and add more value through insights

- Act as Integrator for combined themes/insights

- Increase effectiveness of the team by identifying opportunity areas and solutioning these new opportunities

- Work on taking the capabilities to the next level. Strive to be best in class.

- Provide direction in the area of identification and implementation of new opportunities to support business strategies. This individual will develop “best practices” to support business partners throughout the firm. Furthermore, this individual will be instrumental in ensuring continuous development of the skill set of our team of professionals who enhance and develop state-of-the-art, high quality solutions and services.

- Expertise with key Marketing Research techniques - including segmentation, attitude and usage studies, positioning research, customer experience research, social media research, sub-segmentation analyses, and customer profiling analyses, statistical technique to better understand behaviors and needs. Importantly, the ability to uncover meaningful insights from the research and analytics.

- Strategic Thinking and Thought Leadership – The ability to take the insights from various pieces of consumer research and weave them together with other internal and external information to develop strategies for the organization that will allow it to achieve aggressive growth targets.

- Ability to work across business and system groups at all levels

- Collaborate, as needed, with other service providers and vendors on product related issues

- Strong solutioning, consulting and quantitative skills required.

- Excellent business judgment and ability to recognize business implications of data.

- Competence in analytics and research techniques

- Must have effective oral and written skills, including use of compelling visuals to effectively communicate challenging or technical concepts.

- US experience in Financial Services is a plus

- Strategic acumen and knows how to package data into insights

- Project and time management skills with an ability to set and maintain priorities in a multi-task environment.
