Director IT Security - Global Security Operations for an MNC BPO in Hyderabad

Job Description :

The Lead of GSO India has overall responsibility for the GSO operations distributed between two delivery centers at Hyderabad and Pune. As a Group Head, s/he is responsible for the below mentioned GSO operations:

- Critical Incident Response Center (CIRC)

- Preventative Technical Services (PTSS)

- Application Development

- TSS Operations

- Risk Management

- Business Resiliency

- Credentialing

- Project Management

- Fraud Analysis AI

S/He is ultimately responsible for the operational results of the GSO - organization that includes, but is not limited to, Associate Retention, Associate Engagement, Associate Development, Quality, Productivity, Business Process Improvement, and User Experience across various GSO organizations. S/He is expected to drive initiatives for process improvement and value additions focusing on the product service collaboration driven innovation philosophy. S/He operates in a highly matrix working environment and has good relationship management skills.

Has excellent understanding of business issues, has the ability to create and implement plans to align operational goals with business strategy across the organization. Also have excellent people management skills in order to attract, motivate and retain talent with adequate hands-on expertise

Scope & Responsibilities:

Broadly, the scope of responsibilities is to envision and implement GSO strategy and to be the trusted advisor to India GSO leadership team. S/He currently leads GSO division and is an integral part of the India GSO leadership team.

GSO Strategy

S/he provides leadership and manages the GSO - division in India. S/he will also manage internal clients and their business requirements. As a leader of the team, this role will carry responsibility in aiding innovation & providing solution while also aiding business development effort. S/he will also create new services which map to the market place requirements. S/he is also responsible for enhancing delivery, quality, governance of processes; manage client concerns & escalations; drive productivity, utilization. S/he also leverages business acumen, management experience, change management skills and domain expertise skills to provide strategic and tactical support to GSO.

Talent Strategy

S/he is responsible for leading, growing and mentoring a team of high-energy professionals and build future leaders. S/he collaborates with HR and senior leaders of GSO to plan long-term and annual talent needs and relevant tactics across locations, divisions and/or business groups. S/he partners with HR to identify, design, implement and monitor development practices and programs to develop incumbents in their jobs as well as coach future candidates in preparing for positions in leadership team. Monitors and adapts strategies, policies, standards, practices and programs as needed based on evaluation of key metrics such as time-to-fill vacancies, voluntary turnover rates, first-year turnover rates, readiness of candidates for key vacancies, and management satisfaction with recruiting results.

This scope also includes understanding and sensitivity of best practices related to Product Development / Technology Services / Business Process Development industry and suggests recommendation to BU Head as appropriate. S/he also manages the identification and proactive management of key talent across the organization; works with HR business partners and leaders to identify critical roles and associate segments. S/he also partners with Talent Acquisition to align external recruiting efforts with internal talent planning to address identified gaps/risks in succession plans and talent pipelines

Key Responsibilities:

- Head of GSO division for India

- Leads the GSO and align with the BU goals and agreed BU expectations

- Creating a Business Impact in measurable metrics in consultation and agreement with the business unit partners

- Support the Budget management both from strategic and P&L perspective

- Responsible for client engagement and delivery of services with value addition

- Bringing the outside in perspective

- Increase the Effectiveness by collaboration across all the Business unit verticals

- Provides direction and ensures collaborative efforts between G.E.T.S.,GPT, Service Delivery and Shared Services

- Key member of the core GSO Strategy team driving the India goals.

- Optimize the utilization of resources like computing infrastructure, human resources, workspace etc..

- Overall responsibility for Hiring, Training, Retention and Performance of associates in Hyderabad

- Responsible for leadership development and succession planning in the above listed groups and India in general

Key Result Areas:

- Proactively test and evaluate security vulnerabilities, develop plans for remediation.

- Maintain an accurate up-to-date view of information security across business process and IT systems.

- Develop or improve business strategies to maximize revenue.

- Ensure that associates stay up-to-date with business and product knowledge.

- Evaluate performance and provide appropriate feedback to the team.

- Monitor and manage operational expenses within allotted budget.

- Assist in interviewing, hiring and training new candidates

- Determine staffing needs and develop work plan based on work volume.

Qualifications:

Education: Post graduate technology degree, or related experience

Work Experience: 15+ Years of experience, Led strategic initiatives and working in end to end strategy implementation

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

- Ability to act with integrity at all times and maintain confidentiality of information

- Collaborates across groups and businesses

- Being able to think through challenges towards implementing the strategy

- Fluent in English (fluency in local languages is an asset)

- Must be able to build and lead strong teams that achieve high standards of performance.

- Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders without having a formal reporting relationship.

- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills required, including representing externally to our clients and the market.

- Ability to conceptualize, negotiate and sell ideas internally and externally.

- Creative yet analytical - uses data to support and drive recommendations.

- Ability to implement concepts, ideas and plans while functioning in a flexible, constantly changing environment necessary. Must be a strong collaborator, team player as well as an individual contributor.
