Director- IT Architect The Data Sourcing &amp; projects department architect will be accountable for defining the technical and functional strategy for the department. He/She will define a roadmap from current to target state and help drive the transformation. The introduction of innovative solutions that will introduce efficiency and reduce TCO will be key to the success of the role, as will work closely with peers across the bank to ensure that the departmental strategy is closely aligned with that of the bank's architecture. To excel in this role, you should possess: - A proven technical and functional architect with a track record of introducing innovative solutions to a broad range of problems. - Has track record of defining an architectural strategy and driving change - Track record of innovation within the data domain (controls, efficiency, and tooling) - An outstanding communicator and able to pitch proposals to business, change and IT peers at differing levels, depending on the audience. - Stays up to date with industry trends and can assess their practical applicability for potential solutions (e.g. Cloud, Blockchain) - Collaborates with colleagues to critique proposals and work with the globally distributed team to ensure that the best in class solution is proposed. - Has worked within a regulatory environment (not necessarily banking) and understands that the control environment is paramount. - Functionally strong: Understands the interdependencies of processes and can find opportunities for efficiency - The successful candidate will be a member of the architecture leadership group for which a critical success criteria will be driving collaboration across departments as related to Data Sourcing and F2B projects - Understands the value of diversity in the workplace and is dedicated to fostering an inclusive culture in all aspects of working life so that people from all backgrounds receive equal treatment, realize their full potential and can bring their full, authentic selves to work
