The firm is a global alternative investment firm that invests across a spread of geographies, segments and asset types, including real estate, corporate credit, mortgages, specialty finance and transportation.
The role is an opportunity to be part of the growth journey of the company's real estate business with an active participation in transaction management, sourcing and strategy.
Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:
- Participate in portfolio strategy formulation, sourcing deals and building relationships for the company
- Identify trends in the market and enable the company to take advantage of relevant growth opportunities
- Work on the financial analysis, modelling, due diligence, execution and monitoring of investments in real estate and real estate related equity or debt.
- Carry out underwriting and execution of new investments.
- Review investment documents and structures.
- Help with acquisitions, financing and dispositions.
- Participate in meetings and calls with advisors, brokers, attorneys and other counterparties.
- Identify and monitor key market trends and transactions.
- Work closely with other Investment Professionals and the Legal, Tax, Accounting and Operations teams globally.
Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of experience in real estate debt and equity. Experience in law, investment banking, real estate advisory practice or similar real estate business will be a major plus.
- MBA degree/Engineering degree from tier 1 universities and strong academic background.
- Experience working on a variety of real estate transactions, familiarity with common transaction terms and issues
- Strong financial modelling skills
- Having strong industry contacts and industry knowledge
- Should be able to manage multiple projects on their own, have good time- management and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Have good people and stakeholder management
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Hardworking and driven
