Reportees: Large Team of around 50+ people

Job Description:
- The Director of Sales will work with Senior Sales management and the Senior Vice President (SVP) Sales to drive sales revenue across the division in India. This person will report directly to the SVP Sales.
- This position requires a dynamic and experienced leader who can manage a team of 50+ high performance sales representatives from initial prospecting through to the closing of sales.
- Exposure to working within cross cultural and multi geographical teams will be an added advantage as Client has international operations of its sales and client services departments in offices across 4 continents.
Position Duties:
- Directly manage a team of both experienced and new sales professionals to achieve and surpass individual and department sales goals
- Sales forecasting, expense & revenue budgeting, quotas and commission plans, incentives and contests
- Develop international market penetration strategies
- Presentations and participation in international forums, trade shows and seminars (travel required)
- Coach, mentor, provide feedback and improve the skill set and productivity of the team
- Foster a collaborative environment and create a condition for team effectiveness, manage sales learning and development
- Identify, innovate and execute business ideas to improve division goals and targets
- Initiate, manage, take ownership of strategic dialogues with other teams, including Marketing, and Technology, among others
- Interface with both Marketing and Sales Operations teams to ensure delivery of viable leads to sales team
- Manage appraisal process and facilitate career planning and development of employees
- Assist with the recruitment and training of future team members
- Provide inspiring and transformational leadership
Candidate Profile:
Work experience: 12-18 years
Desired Profile:
- MBA from well regarded institutes
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in outbound / international direct sales and at least 5 years in managing a sales team.
- Software, advertising and hospitality sales experience is a plus
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to integrate knowledge across disciplines to include cold calling, consultative selling, product demonstrations, closing contracts, operation/process flow and product function
- Proven ability to identify, target and secure key business relationships
- Ability to identify and define key sales metrics, measure sales process, and create goals that drive growth
- Ability to assess and define optimal sales organizational structure and selling approach
- Ability to evaluate and implement a sales compensation structure that drives growth
- Ability to contribute to the senior management team by participating in planning, resource allocation, and driving growth
- Direct, previous track record of performing high call volume and corresponding talk time, excelling at developing relationships over the phone, consistently achieving or beating quota for individual sales performance.
- Very proficient with Microsoft Office
- Comfortable using online software sales automation products such as Salesforce.com and web collaboration tools
- Must be articulate, organized, detail-oriented, and have the ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-changing entrepreneurial environment
