MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Participate in all design phase activities

- Participate in the development and maintenance of the standards libraries including CAD standards and procedures

- Participate in the design phase activities by Provide expertise in detail development

- Attend meetings with clients, consultants, contractors and vendors as required

Primary Responsibilities: 

- Participate with the COO / Project Directors to establish both quantitative and qualitative goals and objectives for each project.

- Effectively manage team members to maintain positive interaction, while ensuring the highest product quality, meeting client expectations within the approved fee budget, project budget and project schedule.

- Assure adherence to quality standards by reviewing project documents and provide guidance to Interior Designers, Sr Interior Designers, Project Leads, Sr Project Lead, Senior Project Architect, Project Designer and consultation to Design director as required.

- Consult with the Project Manager and/or Director(s) to monitor the fee budget for each project and implement adjustments to scheduled hours or staff assignments, providing guidance to the team as necessary.

- Overview, monitor and manage the development of plans, conceptual sketches, elevations and detailed drawings that illustrate the design intent and use of materials.

- Participate in client management to monitor and, when appropriate, manage communication between the project team and client, consultants, contractors and vendors to communicate design requirements or coordinate design documents.

- In concert with the Director(s), ensure that design reviews occur at the designated stages and phases of projects.

- Develop appropriate procedures for gathering, coordinating and synthesizing project requirements through interviews and discussions with the client on functional, operational and cultural issues.

- Monitor and guide the team in the interpretation of program data and preparation of the final report and recommendations. Be available to the staff as a mentor and coach.

- Conduct quality assurance reviews at scheduled project intervals to monitor the design progress and quality.

- Conduct senior level liaison activities which may include marketing, pre-design, and programming while attending major client meetings and presentations.

- Assist in the recruitment, training and development of staff members by coordinating project assignments, where possible, to allow for professional growth.

- Participate in and, when appropriate, lead design presentations to clients.

- Act as a public relations figure and constantly promote the company's image and culture both internally and externally.

Qualifications : 

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Interior Design

Experience:

- 1O+ years of work experience with 4-5 years of experience running a production studio

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, 3D Studio MAX, Microsoft Office

- Good verbal & writing skills, leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively

- A complete understanding of working drawings is very helpful

- Experience of working with multi-national clients preferred.

Skill Requirements:

- Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service

- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations concurrently

- Ability to interpret multiple instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

- Possesses a working knowledge of design and production procedures and processes as well as internal quality assurance processes

- Extensive familiarity with fee development and project budgeting processes

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management, staff and clients

- Ability to evaluate, motivate and develop professional staff

- Ability to serve as a catalyst to encourage, explore and pursue appropriate design solutions

- Effective mentoring, coaching, and negotiating skills

- Possesses excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills

- Comprehensive understanding of the company's design service offering
