Director - Information Technology - Social Sector

Looking out profiles with one of the leading social sector organization working candidates must have good experience,Director IT will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire Information Technology Department and ensuring that our organisation's technology is meeting its goals and objectives efficiently.

Key Responsibilities :

IT Function :

- Oversee entire IT department, including application to hosting & security

- Liaise between all parties to understand requirements.

- Procure buy in from senior management for needed projects

- Help to prioritize short and long term objectives

- Stay up to date on security risks.

Team Management :

- Lead, motivate and support the IT team in creating work plans, meeting deadlines and conducting regular reviews/check-ins for the vertical

- Provide technical inputs to team on improvement of software, apps & IT related activities in line with approved annual plans

- Lead the standardization of processes, curriculum, support as need be

- Submit quality reports, dashboards and manage performance of program team.

Senior Leadership :

- To be a part of the senior management team working alongside with the senior management.

- Reporting to senior management, the board on IT statistics and other external stakeholders as need be.

Education & Other Required Qualifications-

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required; master's degree is a plus

- Minimum 8 years experience in the technology field

- Minimum 3 years- experience in leadership or management in an IT setting

- Solid working knowledge of current security protocols and threats

- Hands-on coding experience in one platform & exposure to other platforms

- Ability to foresee possible issues and troubleshoot them proactively

- Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills

- Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to work with people from varied backgrounds and levels
