Head HR

- The purpose of this role is to provide thought leadership for strategic HR in line with Foundations goals and plan. Will be required to play a key role in managing change and ensuring the achievement of set goals through effective people management practices.

- It will involve medium to long term strategic planning to ensure operational plans are aligned with the development and strengthening of organizational culture and its tools namely performance management, leadership development, employee engagement and all aspects of organisational change and development.

As Head HR specific responsibilities will be to :

- Lead HR department initiatives, including talent acquisition, learning and development, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, talent management HR information systems and financial planning of the department.

- Contribute to long-term goals around people and business development.

- Liaise directly with the President and senior leadership team, be accountable for the performance of HR function and also provide strategic counsel on all people matters.

- Design, implement and manage a company-wide process of organization development that addresses issues such as succession planning, superior workforce development, key employee retention, organization design and change management.

- Devise an organizational planning process that evaluates company structure, job design and manpower forecasting .

- Develop company well being, health and counselling policies.

- Evaluate and suggest amendments in plan to President and senior leadership team as appropriate.

- Demonstrated ability to adopt and execute best practices required to hire a superior workforce.

- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the development of appropriate HR Policies across the organization

- Benchmark and update terms and conditions, remunerations and benefits in terms of an association

Analyze employee feedback and data, with the aim of creating a conducive work environment and engaged culture

- Manage employee communication and feedback through appropriate forums

Performance Management, Training and Development:

- Monitor the implementation of a performance improvement process.


- Govern the periodic roll-out of performance management system including creation of performance development plans (PDPs)

- Establish an in-house employee training system that addresses company training needs including training needs assessment, new employee orientation or onboarding, management development, measurement of training impact, and knowledge management initiatives
