- The purpose is primarily focused on leading and managing the country's business function operations in partnership with the regional function directors, whilst growing the business profitability, through identifying, communicating priorities and applying best operating practices to ensure business efficiencies are met. Ensuring risks are identified, steering support and agreeing actions with division business directors. - Define and present Knauf - India Commercial strategy for the GM and Regional Commercial Director approval (i.e., mission, format and positioning, target customer, the role of division, price, size of assortment, branding, and marketing). - Execute the commercial strategy as agreed with GM and Regional Commercial Director as well as develop operating guidelines, systems, and procedures based on the defined business guidelines and ensure proper implementation. - Create annual operating plans that support the set strategic directions and correlate with annual operating budgets. - Develops future leadership within the organization including talent management and succession planning within the commercial function in India. - Identify new business opportunities to be presented for approval to the GM and Regional Commercial Director. - Evaluate market trends to modify strategies that will enhance revenues and profitability. - Develop plans to gain market share by appointing dealers in unrepresented towns and low share geographies. - Foresee potential threats from competition and devise counter strategies to avoid and overcome them.
